 heyyyyyy!!! 🤑🤠😘🤩

isss your girl, tuning in from the hood, LAKEWOOOOOD!! yep, im back in my baby area!!! I am following up training again! My companions name is Sister Chamberlain and she is from Arizona/Provo! She is soooo awesome and knows how to teach with a lot of confidence & boldness. This week was one of the funnest weeks in my mission! Lets get into it!
Before leaving Tacoma, I had to say all my goodbyes to some of my besties! I am grateful each day for the friendships I am able to make and for the wonderful members in each area. Island View ward holds a special place in my heart! ugh, im tearing up now...NEXT 😭🥹
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with my greenie, SISTER CHIDESTER!! She is a hard worker, i mean i trained her so why wouldnt she be, jk jk. We made a couple new friends together! 2 words that describe our friendship is YAP & MUNCH. Her birthday was on Wednesday so we partied the whole day!! Went thrifting, mall, mini golf, got sushi, drove across the bridge, hungout w the tacoma zone and got drinks @AMPM
THURSDAY!!! Transfer day!! I loooove seeing all my mission besties! I got so lucky to have an amazing greenie! We live in a nice apt complex and the hermanas and graham sisters live here too! So I get to be with Hermana Pinto (an old comp of mine) and Sister Shingleton as well! It is a party every single day!
Parkland members!: They were so shocked when they saw I was transferred back to the area. I have missed them so much!
Lakehood, is still hood fs. I forgot how sketch it is here. I go to bed listening to police sirens and hopefully not gunshots lol!
GENERAL CONFERENCE:
I really enjoyed conference !! I cried a lot plus it is my last one of the mission so that made it more emotional.
I loved all the speakers and one in particular stood out the most. Elder Palmer and his analogy on the willow tree. For those that didn't hear this talk, I will briefly explain the tree story. One night, there was a huge storm and it blew this willow tree over. Elder Palmer was like okay, i will cut it up and make firewood but his neighbor ran over and said STOP, there is one root still attached from the tree to the ground. The neighbor suggested to prop it up, trim the branches and nourish it. Elder Palmer doubted that it would work...but will hard work and determination, the willow tree was fully restored 12 years later.
I like to relate this story to my own life. I used to feel like the mistakes I made in the past were keeping me on the ground, like the fallen tree, unworthy of restoration. But, the one root holding onto the tree or onto me, was the Savior. He reminded me that I am worth restoring.
No matter how broken we may feel, the Savior is always going to hold onto us. As we trust in the Lord and return unto Him and allow Him to prop us up and nourish us, we too can be restored again and become like that beautiful willow tree, saved. I love my Savior. #RootedinChrist🤍
I love you all so much!!! Ofa Lahi Atu🥹
